Into the Unknown.

What do you want? 'Cause you've been keeping me awake Are you here to distract me So I make a big mistake?

Or are you someone out there Who's a little bit like me? Who knows deep down I'm not where I'm meant to be?

As I enter my in-person year as a YAV (Young Adult Volunteer) I think this will be my driving song to New Orleans. The unknown is a scary place but the more I research and learn about my home for the next year, I get more and more excited to see what the Spirit has in store for me. From beignets to jazz music to attending as many festivals as I can during my time, I am going to try to fit as much as I can in to this next year. I am excited to meet my housemates who will be journeying with me into the unknown. I am excited to work with the YMCA of GNO (Greater New Orleans) in their Education Services. I am excited to find a new worshipping community to engrain myself into the church culture and make new friends.

As part of my time in New Orleans, I have to raise 4,000$ to support my year. I am half way to the finish line, but would like to have a little more before the year is over.
